Located a few years ago in the Weilburg Castle in Germany, the large painting exhibited at the MNAA is a new and very important item to the iconography of the city. This panoramic view was a project for one of the biggest celebrations in Europe in the early 17th century: the triumphal entry by Philip II into Lisbon, in 1619. The work is shown for the first time in Portugal.
